If you are a tall person, this may be a little small in length for your comfort. This gives you another 5 inches of extra room so that your whole body can be in the bed. No feet hanging over the end to keep you from getting a good night's sleep.
The queen mattress is a preferred size of many people when it comes to mattress dimensions. This mattress is 60 inches wide for a nice comfortable fit and 80 inches long. This is one of the best selling sizes. Not too small and not too large, the queen mattress is just right for many people
If you would prefer a little larger mattress than a queen but not the full king, there is the cal-king size mattress. The mattress dimensions of this one are 72 inches wide and 84 inches long. For a good fit, this size would be great for a kid's room where brothers or sisters have to share a bed. Three small children could sleep quite comfortably.
Another size in the king family of mattresses is 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. This is another mattress that is a good size for sharing. A little wider than the cal-king mattress, it is also 4 inches shorter. For certain size bedrooms you would be surprised what a difference just a few inches can make.
Finally, the king split mattress, which is the same size as the regular king, at 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. The difference is the mattresses are two twin XL mattresses on the box springs. This can be useful if a lot of tossing and turning is keeping up your sleeping partner at night. The mattresses being split will allow your movement to be felt only on your mattress. The other person can sleep peacefully without being jostled around all night.
